Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination has signed a memorandum of understanding with the UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation
Aimed at registering and training people of determination, encouraging them to participate in the sport, and enhancing their involvement in local competitions."
Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination has signed a memorandum of understanding with the UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation aimed at enhancing joint work and establishing a strategic partnership to support the development of modern pentathlon for people of determination. The cooperation involves including modern pentathlon in competitions at sports clubs affiliated with the organization, registering players with determination in the federation and encouraging them to participate in the sport, providing facilities and sports equipment for organizing local tournaments and national team camps for modern pentathlon for people of determination according to the federation's agenda.
The memorandum of understanding was signed by His Excellency Abdullah Al-Hamidan, the Secretary-General of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, and Her Excellency Dr. Huda Abdul Rahman Al Matroushi, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the UAE Pentathlon Federation. The signing ceremony took place at the Al Ain Club for People of Determination, affiliated with Zayed Higher Organization, in the city of Al Ain. Also in attendance was His Excellency Abdullah Al Kamali, Executive Director of the People of Determination Sector at Zayed Higher Organization, along with several leaders from both sides.
"As per the memorandum of understanding, Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination provides the UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation with comprehensive statistics regarding sports facilities and affiliated sports clubs, as well as the number of athletes with disabilities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, categorized by their disabilities for the purpose of registration. Additionally, they nominate sports trainers for training and development in the game, support the discovery and registration of talents within the organization, and develop plans for training competent athletes and talents. Furthermore, they provide a designated space for installing obstacle equipment.
The UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation commits to providing Zayed Higher Organization with the competition agenda for the sports season for people of determination, organizing their participation in annual local competitions, training and qualifying players, coaches, and referees for modern pentathlon, organizing training courses for coaches, and promoting the culture of this sport."
His Excellency Abdullah Al-Humaidan, Secretary-General of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, warmly welcomed the signing of the memorandum of understanding with the UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation, praising the federation's efforts to achieve sporting accomplishments for the UAE on regional and international levels. He stated, "Sport is very important for people of determination as it enhances their empowerment and integration into society." He emphasized the organization's commitment to providing opportunities for people of determination to engage in sports through its affiliated sports clubs, such as the Abu Dhabi Club for People of Determination, Al Ain Club for People of Determination, and Al Dhafra Club for People of Determination, enabling them to participate under qualified coaching staff. He highlighted the positive impact this has on individuals' confidence and their ability to overcome psychological barriers.
He added, "People of determination are part of our unified society, and we always aim to integrate them through programs and events executed by the organization, particularly in sports, with active participation from governmental and private entities within the framework of social cooperation, achieving the integration goal that the organization strives to accomplish."
Dr. Huda Al Matroushi, President of the UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation, affirmed that the cooperation agreement with Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination contributes to establishing a strategic partnership that aids in the development of modern pentathlon for people of determination. She expressed pride in signing the cooperation agreement, emphasizing the federation's efforts to promote modern pentathlon for people of determination, which enhances their skills and capabilities in this sport, especially as individuals with determination have achieved significant accomplishments in various sports.
Furthermore, she stated, "The federation is keen to provide full support in modern pentathlon sports. One of our main goals is to form and prepare national teams for all age groups of people of determination and provide all the success factors that contribute to raising the country's flag in regional, continental, and international forums."

In practical application of the memorandum of understanding between Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination and the UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation, and on the sidelines of the signing ceremony, the Al Ain Club for People of Determination, affiliated with the organization, organized competitions at the club's courts for the "Laser Run for People of Determination" championship, the first of its kind for these categories in the game. The competition included events for both males and females with determination in the disciplines of running and laser pistol shooting, which are part of modern pentathlon competitions. The winners of the competitions were awarded accordingly.
In practical implementation of the memorandum of understanding between Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination and the UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation, and on the sidelines of the memorandum signing, the Al Ain Club for People of Determination, affiliated with the organization, organized competitions at the club's courts for the "Laser Run for People of Determination" championship.
