Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination is participating in the events of the fifth edition of the International Expo for People of Determination 2023
To facilitate access for individuals who need to prepare their homes and inform them about available solutions to challenges.
Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination is participating in the events of the fifth edition of the International Expo for People of Determination 2023, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, President of Dubai Airports, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, from October 9 to 11 at the Dubai World Trade Center. This expo aims to showcase the latest global products and services in the field of robotics and assistive technology under one roof.
As part of its participation, Zayed Higher Organization is launching a mobile application related to environmental adaptation suitable for all categories of People of Determination. The app, updated regularly, serves as a guide to solutions and preparations for their homes, helping those in need of home adjustments to be informed about available solutions to the challenges they face. It also provides information about certified companies that will assist them in acquiring the necessary devices and equipment, as well as offering market-available options and information to help them understand their needs. Users can also book appointments for consultations with specialists at the organization. The app's services and information are easy to understand, available in both Arabic and English, ensuring accessibility for all.
The importance of launching this app lies in its provision of ten main features, including a survey to evaluate accessibility, helping ensure a safe and comfortable environment for People of Determination in their residences and daily lives. It helps the organization understand the challenges faced by the families of People of Determination, the elderly, and those with age-related diseases or those who lose mobility, hearing, or sight due to illness, accident, or surgery, especially when they lack the necessary experience to adjust their homes to new conditions.
The new application also focuses on raising awareness and educating beneficiaries about their needs while highlighting the extensive experience of Zayed Higher Organization in available solutions, certified companies, and appropriate pricing. It also answers all inquiries related to adjustment solutions, their prices, and implementation methods.
Zayed Higher Organization's participation in the International Expo for People of Determination 2023 includes showcasing products from its rehabilitation workshops under the agricultural and vocational rehabilitation department. These products, created by the organization's members, bear the distinctive "Bee" trademark and include organic vegetables, various dairy products, bags of different shapes, types, sizes, and specifications, scarves (especially those representing various sports clubs in the country), sports shirts, Quran holders made of wood, perfumes, candles, artifacts, and antiques.
The organization’s participation in the expo also includes honoring several parents of People of Determination who are affiliated with the organization, such as the exemplary mothers and guardians of students. These include the guardian of student Mariam Mohammed Ahmed Al Marzouqi (with intellectual disabilities) affiliated with the vocational rehabilitation unit in Abu Dhabi and the guardian of student Hamed Ali Abdullah Majeed Al Obaidly (deaf) affiliated with the vocational rehabilitation unit in Al Ain, for their continuous support to the organization. Both Mariam and Hamed have been involved in various competitions, forums, events, and have been actively monitored in workshops, with trainers attesting to their excellence and good interactions.
