Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination has announced a new community initiative in collaboration with the Egyptian artist Mohamed Henedy. This initiative presents a theatrical production titled "Farhat and the Family," featuring talents from various categories of individuals with disabilities who have successfully passed performance trials and the specialized training program of the organization's unique initiative called "Talented Abilities." This initiative is part of the organization's strategy to support people with disabilities, provide an inclusive environment for them, and engage them in various fields, with the goal of establishing Abu Dhabi's leading position in empowering people with disabilities as an integral part of the community.
The theatrical performance, which spans three days from December 8th to December 10th at the National Theater in Abu Dhabi, is part of the fourth Abu Dhabi Family Forum, held under the umbrella of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak's program for excellence and societal intelligence. The forum aims to instill the values of societal intelligence, innovation, harnessing community potentials, and enhancing solidarity.
The play "Farhat and the Family" seeks to create a unique creative path for people of determination to integrate into artistic and social life. It provides an opportunity for them to express important events while bringing this form of art (theater) to Abu Dhabi. It is a meaningful and comedic social story that highlights transformations, negative social challenges, and external interferences in our society in a simple and entertaining manner for the audience, both young and old, with the aim of raising awareness. It also sheds light on the country's development goals, particularly emphasizing the concept and importance of sustainability. The poster features the participating stars, including comedic actors such as Mohamed Tharwat, Iman El Sayed, Yasser El Tobgy, Ous Ous, and Ahmed Sultan, alongside people of determination. The play is written and directed by Nader Salah Eldin and sponsored by Mohamed Henedy, furthering his support for the Talented Abilities program.
