Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination is organizing, during the period from January 23 to 27, the (International Friendly Futsal Championship for the Deaf). The tournament will be held at ADNOC stadiums in the city of Al Dhanna in Al Dhafra region, with the participation of 6 sports clubs representing:
Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination is organizing, during the period from January 23 to 27, the (International Friendly Futsal Championship for the Deaf). The tournament will be held at ADNOC stadiums in the city of Al Dhanna in Al Dhafra region, with the participation of 6 sports clubs representing: The Deaf Club in Riyadh from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Deaf Club from the Arab Republic of Egypt, the TAWASUL Inclusion Association for the Deaf in Temara from the Kingdom of Morocco, the GSV Club Dusseldorf from the Republic of Germany, and the Abu Dhabi Club and Al Ain Club for People of Determination at the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination in the UAE.
The championship comes within the framework of the interest of the wise leadership of the United Arab Emirates in the category of people of determination and their empowerment in all fields, and in order to encourage people of determination in the Al Dhafra region and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and to enhance community awareness in the region and to highlight the role of Al Dhafra Club for People of Determination as one of the sports clubs affiliated to the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, which operates to discover and select talented deaf people in Al Dhafra region to participate and direct them to competitive sports introducing the region's audience to the importance of sports for people of determination.
The championship aims to highlight the sport of people of determination, strengthen the bonds of cooperation between the deaf from various brotherly and friendly countries represented by the participating countries, and promote concepts of human values among them, especially since football is one of the most popular and widespread sports in the world, in addition to providing an opportunity to express the energies of people of determination of the deaf category, through the championship and accompanying programmes, promoting the concept of happiness among the deaf and their families through participation in the tournament and events, and deepening the societal role by contributing to supporting this category.
The laws of the International Futsal Federation apply, and the tournament will be refereed by referees accredited by the UAE Football Association. The participating teams are divided into two groups, each group includes three teams, and the competition system is determined by the league system of one round, provided that the winning team in the preliminary rounds gets 3 points in the case of a win, one point in the case of a tie and no points in the case of a loss, and qualifies for the league system from one round, provided that , and the first and second place holders from each group qualify for the semi-finals, where the first place holder from each group faces the team in the second place from the other group, and the two losing teams meet in the semi-finals to determine the third place, while the final match is between the winners in the semi-finals.
