His Excellency Alexander Schoenfelder, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the UAE, visited the Production Center for People of Determination affiliated with Zayed Higher Organization
His Excellency Alexander Schoenfelder, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the UAE, visited the Production Center for People of Determination affiliated with Zayed Higher Organization to learn about the organization's programs, initiatives, and projects, and to review its experience in the field of care and rehabilitation for various categories of people of determination. He also aimed to familiarize himself with the services provided by the organization, including educational, rehabilitative, psychological, and social healthcare services. The visit also involved discussing opportunities for cooperation between the organization and relevant institutions in his country. He was received by His Excellency Abdullah Abdul-Ali Al-Humaidan, Secretary-General of the organization, along with several of its leaders.
The German Ambassador expressed his admiration for the organization's services, describing them as comprehensive and integrated. He expressed his great pleasure in visiting the organization and touring the Production Center for People of Determination, observing the students in the vocational rehabilitation workshops, and witnessing the high-quality products they produce.
His Excellency Abdullah Al-Humaidan welcomed the visit of the German Ambassador and provided him with a brief overview of the organization and the services it offers to various categories of people of determination and the number of beneficiaries of these services. He also highlighted the unlimited support provided by the leadership of the UAE to these categories, pointing out the organization's efforts, in accordance with the directives of the wise leadership, to offer the highest and most modern means of care and rehabilitation for these groups and to attract the best technologies and global experiences in this field.
During the visit, His Excellency the German Ambassador, accompanied by MS Isabell Bloechl , First Secretary, First Secretary at the embassy, listened to a brief introductory presentation accompanied by slides about the strategic projects, plans, and programs of Zayed Higher Organization, as well as the services it provides to various categories of people of determination in Abu Dhabi, including both citizens and residents.
The visit began with the "Bee Café" to learn about this unique project, the first of its kind in the UAE, which is managed by individuals of determination. The café not only serves specialty coffee but also provides technical training to qualify people of determination to obtain an internationally accredited certificate in coffee making.
The German Ambassador was introduced to the "Blooming Bee Flower Project," a flower arrangement workshop, which is one of the organization's projects. It employs ten female students of determination who have been trained to meet market needs by providing a variety of bouquets and gifts for all events and occasions.
The Ambassador also visited the specialized chocolate-making workshop operated by individuals of determination under the brand "The Bee." Additionally, he toured the first-of-its-kind integrated central workshop for prosthetics and orthotics in the UAE, established in collaboration with the German company O T P. This workshop serves the UAE and GCC markets and supports the employment of people of determination by training them in the manufacture of prosthetics and orthotics using the latest technologies.
The visit included a tour of the cheese factory, where five women of determination from the organization work. The factory operates under the slogan "Made in the UAE" to meet daily production requirements for various dairy products, store goat milk for later production, and facilitate production processes using advanced programming.
The visit also covered sewing workshops for both girls and boys, which are pioneering projects that provide job opportunities for people of determination with intellectual challenges, developing rehabilitation paths in line with market demands. The Ambassador observed printing services managed and operated by a team of people of determination, producing items like notebooks, t-shirts, and mugs.

This workshop was established in cooperation and partnership with HP and is the first of its kind in the world managed by people of determination using the HP Jet Fusion 4200 series printer to produce medical support for prosthetics through 3D printing.
