Memorandum of Understanding between Zayed Higher Organization and Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority

to Empower Beneficiaries of People of Determination and Social Support Recipients to Enter the Workforce




Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority aimed at empowering beneficiaries of the Social Support Program. The MoU seeks to identify and define necessary training, rehabilitation, and professional programs to enable beneficiaries, including People of Determination and social support recipients, to enter the workforce. It also focuses on selecting the target group to receive the agreed-upon programs, establishing the criteria for their participation in these programs, and implementing electronic integration between both entities.


The MoU was signed by His Excellency Abdullah Al Humaidan, Secretary-General of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, and Her Excellency Dr. Bushra Abdullah Al Mulla, Director General of Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority. The signing ceremony took place at the organization's headquarters in the presence of senior officials from both entities.


Under the Memorandum of Understanding, both parties will exchange data concerning the beneficiaries from the People of Determination through electronic linkage. The Authority will conduct assessments based on evaluation reports issued by the Organization to determine the qualifications, types of disabilities, and work capacity of applicants. The Authority will also prioritize those who meet the criteria in Zayed Higher Organization’s programs, including People of Determination in volunteer and community programs, as well as any training programs that promote their social integration. Additionally, family members will be involved in care programs for People of Determination offered by the Organization.


For its part, Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination will share with the Authority a list of available training and rehabilitation programs, as well as the final reports on the status of beneficiaries from People of Determination. The Organization will also issue People of Determination ID cards to beneficiaries, when necessary, provide a suitable environment and support through direct communication, and offer advisory services according to their needs. Additionally, the Organization will provide workshops and social education programs for beneficiary families to enhance their skills in supporting People of Determination.


His Excellency Abdullah Al Humaidan, Secretary-General of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, welcomed the signing of the MoU, praising the role of the Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority in supporting low-income families through the Abu Dhabi Social Support Program and empowerment initiatives to ensure a dignified life for families. He acknowledged the Authority's strategic role in supporting and empowering beneficiaries for their integration into the workforce.


He emphasized that Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination is always committed to building partnerships with various national institutions and entities to enhance its services and support its programs, which aim to empower and integrate different groups of People of Determination into society, particularly in workforce integration. This commitment strengthens institutional efforts and partnerships between government entities, contributing to social stability and financial independence for families and reflecting effective inter-agency cooperation.


Her Excellency Dr. Bushra Abdullah Al Mulla, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority, commended the significant role played by Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination in empowering and integrating People of Determination into society, thereby promoting the principle of equal opportunities. She affirmed that the Memorandum of Understanding will ensure that beneficiaries from the People of Determination receive the opportunities and programs that enable them to enhance their societal contributions and participate in the workforce within a sustainable environment.


Her Excellency added that the Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority aims to build strategic partnerships with various institutions to provide a social safety net for beneficiary families in Abu Dhabi, striving to achieve its objectives of empowering financially independent and socially active families. Through this collaboration, the Authority will work to strengthen cooperation in developing empowerment programs tailored to People of Determination to support this vital segment of society, creating a positive, sustainable impact through an integrated, partnership-based approach that aligns with the social sector vision of Abu Dhabi.
