On World Braille Day for the Visually Impaired

Amid the challenges facing the world with the rise of wars and conflicts, Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination has reaffirmed its humanitarian leadership by sending a message aimed at fostering the values of fraternity and global peace. This initiative was carried out in collaboration with the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity, supported by the Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation, and coincided with World Braille Day on January 4th.

This step reflects the commitment of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination to its humanitarian and social role in raising awareness about the noble values embodied in the Document on Human Fraternity. The organization printed the document in Braille, making it accessible to visually impaired individuals worldwide. This initiative underscores inclusivity and affirms that humanitarian messages must reach everyone without exception.

A Pivotal Role in Promoting the Values of Peace
In its video message, which included readings from the Document on Human Fraternity in Braille for the visually impaired in both Arabic and English, Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination emphasized its belief that its role extends beyond providing traditional services to People of Determination. It seeks to enhance their role as active partners in society. Printing the Document on Human Fraternity in Braille conveys the message that everyone, without distinction, can be ambassadors of peace and tolerance in the world.

Humanitarian Initiatives Beyond Borders
The organization clarified that this initiative is not just a limited project but part of its broader efforts to empower People of Determination as active partners in spreading messages of tolerance and peace worldwide. It affirmed its commitment to engaging People of Determination and amplifying their voices globally. By printing the Document on Human Fraternity in Braille, the organization aims to strengthen cultural and social communication with visually impaired individuals everywhere, recognizing this group as a driving force for positive change.

This initiative coincides with the celebration of World Braille Day, observed annually on January 4th, which aims to emphasize the importance of facilitating knowledge and culture for the visually impaired. Zayed Higher Organization highlighted that timing reflects its belief that Braille is a bridge for communication, enabling People of Determination to access universal values and principles.

A Global Call for Peace
This initiative aims to counter the waves of hatred and division sweeping the world by extending a global call for peace and coexistence, inspired by the spirit of the Document on Human Fraternity. Zayed Higher Organization urged all international institutions to adopt similar approaches to disseminate messages of goodwill and hope, and to work together towards a more tolerant and stable world. The organization emphasized that this project reflects its vision to promote inclusivity and equality, asserting that peace can only be achieved when its messages reach everyone, including People of Determination, who play a pivotal role in building a better future.

Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination collaborated with the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity to raise awareness among People of Determination about the Document on Human Fraternity. It also converted the document into Arabic Sign Language videos for the deaf in collaboration with the Emirates Deaf Association. Employees of the organization who are visually impaired translated the document into Braille in Arabic and English, printing 100 copies to ensure the document's message of tolerance, cooperation, and coexistence reaches all segments of society, including People of Determination.

Additionally, the organization translated the document into Braille in Arabic, English, and Italian, making it accessible to People of Determination worldwide. It produced 100 Braille-printed copies of the Document on Human Fraternity in Arabic and English, which were gifted to Al-Azhar Library in Egypt to share the document's message of tolerance and coexistence with visually impaired individuals beyond the UAE.

In collaboration with the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity, the organization also printed 100 Braille copies of the document in Italian for the visually impaired, gifting them to the Vatican Library in Rome. This step further expanded the document's reach, promoting its message of tolerance and coexistence to visually impaired individuals globally in multiple languages.

On another occasion, the organization brought together its People of Determination members from various nationalities to create a garden bearing the emblem of Human Fraternity at its headquarters in Al Mafraq, Abu Dhabi. This initiative symbolizes solidarity and unity among the world's peoples on the land of the United Arab Emirates.
