Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO) inaugurated a factory for the production of cheese and its derivatives at its People of Determination Production Center in Bahia, Abu Dhabi
The factory receives MOIAT’s certificate of conformity for its products
In synch with the occasion of the World Youth Skills Day, and as a translation of the wise leadership’s vision to support the local industry, Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO) inaugurated a factory for the production of cheese and its derivatives at its People of Determination Production Center in Bahia, Abu Dhabi. This is a qualitative new step through which ZHO establishes a distinguished economic entity with the participation of five young national cadres of determination, students of the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical & Vocational Education and Training (ADVETI) from different disciplines, and a trainer from the educational staff affiliated with the Centre who constructed the equipment of the factory, where five females of determination affiliated with ZHO are hired, and adopts the slogan “Make it in the Emirates”, with the aim of meeting daily requirements of various dairy products, storing goat milk for later production, and facilitating production processes using advanced programming.
His Excellency Abdullah Al-Humaidan, ZHO’s Secretary-General, voiced his great pleasure with the inauguration and establishment of the factory as an economic entity that contributes to empowering people of determination by enrolling five female students of determination to work in the factory, as well as translating the wise leadership’s vision to attract young Emirati cadres and provide them with supportive opportunities to carry out the project, to be an honorable example for the Emirati citizen.“We are proud that our project adopts the slogan “Make it in the Emirates”, and that we can reach this level of work development and achieve the dream of establishing the factory, and what our members offer to be part of the economic development of Abu Dhabi and participants in the UAE’s renaissance.”
He emphasized that the confidence in the products of ZHO’s employees of determination, the increasing demand, the gained confidence, and the high quality of these products are drives to move towards launching initiatives and implementing purposeful projects to empower these groups and support and develop their abilities to make them productive people in society with a core role in development. In this context, he praised the strategic partnerships between ZHO and a number of government institutions and private sector institutions in its various sectors, contributing to completing and launching the factory; Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), ADVETI, and the FreshOnTable Company. This is in addition to the tourism sector in Abu Dhabi represented in ERTH Hotel- Abu Dhabi, Hilton Hotel, and Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental.
Al-Humaidan noted that the cheese factory has received a certificate of conformity for its products from the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), and contributes to supporting the farms of people of determination by covering the daily production requirements of factory’s dairy products from those farms, a matter which supports the Hemam Platform to encourage citizens to self-employment and the issuance of license for farms by registering with the Hemam Platform to supply milk to ZHO.
He also praised the efforts made by the young national cadres, students of ADVETI, who participated in the project, in terms of manufacturing more than ten different devices fully installed and are used in the manufacture of cheese products, which contributes to increasing the production volume today from one ton to four tons at peak capacity, according to the quantities of milk and the product quality.
Saeed Al Bahri Al Ameri, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority congratulated the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination on the opening of their cheese factory. He commended the organization for employing individuals with determination, who have demonstrated their ability to utilize their skills and talents in various fields.
Al Ameri emphasized that supporting the endeavors of individuals with determination aligns with ADAFSA vision to guarantee the safety and quality of local food products, as well as to enhance consumer confidence in these products. He explained that the provision of high-quality local cheeses aids in reducing reliance on imported cheese and supports the food security system in this crucial sector.
The factory also contributes to strengthening the national economy by capitalizing on the potential of individuals with determination and providing them with job opportunities to facilitate their effective integration into society.
His Excellency added that the Authority takes pride in supporting and promoting national industries and local products. They provided the necessary assistance for this project by training and certifying the factory workers in food safety requirements. Additionally, specialized technicians from the Authority conduct periodic visits to the factory to ensure compliance with food safety regulations. They also collect food samples to verify that the products adhere to the approved specifications.
